make details
- fabric:
- main: pink jersey
- lining: pink jersey + one layer of powernet from dalston mills at the front piece
- sandwiched a layer of powernet between shelf bra and main lining for extra support
- powernet made the jersey definitely feel more supportive without feeling restricive. I originally bought this material to make a lunchbox pocket, and I took a chance using it here after reading some tips online. it worked!
- understitch armscye after burrito so seam rolls inside and lies flat
- I didn’t use any clear elastic like recommended in the pattern and I don’t notice any issues, but I will try and buy some clear elastic and compare with it on.
fit findings
- perfect fit at bust, shoulders, straps, lats, elastic
- neckline: mid-height V fit great but I have noticed from wearing it a lot it can stretch, so I might do a horizontal tuck of 1cm in the straps area -> safe to drop to lower neckline next time.
- bottom hem band came out slightly loose where it currently sits. Not a big deal for this make. I might take it in at the side seams just at the bottom hem, tapering to nothing at mid bust or just before.
